HealthBenefitApps, does not access or keep any personal health information of HealthBenefitApp users.
All HealthBenefitApps require at least some device permissions. For example, a HealthBenefitApp will always require push message permissions to enable push messages in the app, geolocation permissions for allowing geo-based push messages, data storage permissions to save images in the cache, and internet permissions to download updates, to name a few. It is not possible to change these HealthBenefitApp permissions. They are required based on the possible features/functions of the HealthBenefitApp platform. These permissions are not uncommon for most apps. Please note that HealthBenefitApp does not, under any circumstances, share information with a third-party unless required to do so by law.
The HealthBenefitApp may use a secret word (“password”) to protect Benefit content within the HealthBenefitApp. This secret word blocks access to content using a “Lock Tab” feature. Once the secret word is entered via the Lock Tab, future access to content is freely available to the user of the app from that point forward. If the user reinstalls the HealthBenefitApp, the user will be required to re-enter the secret word (“password”) to access Benefit information. It is the responsibility of the Benefit Manager, Client and users of the HealthBenefitApp to maintain the secrecy of the secret word. In the event it is necessary, the secret word may be changed at any time.
No personal information is required use a HealthBenefitApp. Should the HealthBenefitApp include a form feature, which is typically used for a Contact Us or Register form, that information is sent via email to the Benefit Manager, and a copy of that data is maintained within the HealthBenefitApp administration console. This information is protected with standard SSL encryption security for the Website, and username and password security for user access. This information is for the private use of the Health Benefit manager and is designated users.
We collect usage information of the HealthBenefitApp for utilization analysis only. This non-personally identifiable usage information includes but is not limited to installs by device type (iOS, Google Play), geolocation, user access to features and functions. This app usage information is made available only to your Health Benefits Manager by way of user name and password access to their administration console.
No personal health data is collected by the HealthBenefitApp. Access to third-party portals maintained by your Health Benefit Manager or via health provider web sites may be accessible via web tab functionality in the HealthBenefitApp. The web tab functions as a web browser embedded within the HealthBenefitApp to enable access to third-party websites. All information via web tab is processed through the feature as a gateway and is not stored or processed by the HealthBenefitApp. No information accessed by way of web tabs are collected or maintained in the HealthBenefitApp. If the third-party website you are viewing uses cookie technology to store user names and passwords for ease of future access, the HealthBenefitApp functions in the same way a web browser on your device. It will store that information on your device to facilitate ease of future access. HealthBenefitApp does not have access to that information.
Any information collected by the HealthBenefitApp is private and only available to your Benefit Manager.
All HealthBenefitApp administration is maintained in secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personally Identifiable Information unless required to by law.
